Hey all,
Well it turns out that I got a phone call yesterday and the woman said, well there's been a few canselations and we can get you into the June 20th class. That was such a shock to me. I thought I was going in August. She said it's up to me, I could still go in August if I don't wanna come in June. But I think it's a good idea in a way, it's just other things that I'm trying to figure out. The biggest thing is, I get to Seeing Eye on Saturday and my parents probably won't be able to get there until Saturday to. So I hope that the people there will let me spend some time with my folks since I haven't seen them in 6 months, and I can say goodbye to Vernon since he's my first guide dog. Now this is just one problem, not counting, getting a new dog bed, maybe a toy or two, the money to get the dog, which I think my parents are paying for, and cleaning up this apartment and making sure there's no dog smell in here. I don't want my new dog to come back and be like, there was a dog here? But who knows. Wow, talk about a lot to do. Plus I have to get a bus to take me to the airport and that costs money to. Plus I have a big vet bill to pay, but luckily my bf said that he'd help me with paying it and I pay him back. So then I have that off my shoulders at least. Thank god. So anyway, the only thing that I really worry about it saying goodbye to Vernon and seeing my parents. I hope that I can get some time doing all of that. Since Vernon can't stay at Seeing Eye with me, and I don't know if I'm allowed to leave, so I guess I'll have to ask someone on the phone tomorrow when I give them my final word on going or not. But I think all in all, this will be good to get a nice young working dog, even though it'll be hard. But it's always hardest to retire your first guide dog. So anyway, I thought I'd post this up here just to get my thoughts out, so thanks for listening. lol.
